Why it's called RECUR
To recur is to happen again. We named the brand after the one promise we make: the clothes you like will keep coming back.
Hi, we're Walter and Jesse
We met working Saturdays at a second-hand clothes shop in Porto, and the same thing happened every week.
Someone would come in looking for one exact piece: the hoodie they'd worn for six years, the trousers that finally fit. They'd describe it down to the stitching. And it was always the same story. The brand had stopped making it.
In 2023 we put our savings together and took one hoodie design to a family-run factory just outside the city. We asked for a small first run and told them we'd be back for more. It sold out in eleven days, and the second batch was made exactly like the first.
That hoodie is still in the shop, next to nine other pieces. When something sells out, we order more that same week and put the date on the product. Nothing has been discontinued yet, and we'd like to keep it that way.

How we run it
Ten pieces, and that's it
We'd rather make a few things properly than a lot of things quickly. A new piece only joins the shop when we know we can keep making it for years.
Restocked, not retired
When a size sells out, we order more straight away and put the date on the product. Most sizes are back within three weeks.
Made in Porto
Everything is cut and sewn by a family-run factory twenty minutes from our studio. We visit every month, and a reorder costs us the same as the first run.
Fixed for free
A split seam, a loose button, a hole in the elbow: send it back with a note and we'll repair it and post it home. No time limit, no receipt needed.
The mark
Our logo is one line that loops back on itself. Turn it upside down and you get the same mark again.
That felt right for clothes that keep coming back. You'll find it stitched small on a chest, and printed big on the tote.
Go on, give it a turn.
